Pinecrest Weddings in Palmer Lake May Wedding

What a gorgeous spring day it was for a wedding at Pinecrest Weddings in Palmer Lake, Colorado! Danielle and Ryan had reached out to me 15 months before their wedding for engagement photos. They loved them so much and were eager to hire me for their wedding photos at this gorgeous Colorado wedding venue. It was an easy and enthusiastic yes for me since they are such a fun and kind pair. I eagerly anticipated their wedding day, as I’m sure they did too, and it turned out to be a sunny, warm early May day.

Before the Ceremony

They opted for 10 hours of coverage (see what’s included in my wedding packages) to get photographs of all the moments from the day. I started with the details, the shoes, and the dress and bounced back and forth between the bridal suite and groom’s room, getting photos of all the gals and guys preparing for the big day.

First Look

Danielle and Ryan did their first look behind the chapel in a grove of trees. The bridesmaids and flower girl watched from a window in the bridal suite. Danielle also did a sweet first look with dad and Ryan’s mom expertly pinned on his boutonniere.

Bridal Party Portraits

We took bridal party photos and some family photos before the ceremony, which I will always recommend if the timeline allows because it lets you join the reception sooner! I photographed the beautifully decorated reception space including something unique I had never seen before: they are both big baseball fans, so they used baseball cards as part of their decor.

Pinecrest Wedding Ceremony

After a sweet ceremony with very moving and tearful personal vows, Danielle and Ryan took just a few more family photos then got to join the reception to mingle with their guests.

Pinecrest Wedding Reception

The newlyweds made their grand entrance and went straight into welcoming their guests and mingling with them before dinner was served.

After dinner and speeches, they moved into the dances. They did an anniversary dance and Danielle’s sweet grandparents won for most years married. The guests and the DJ kept the dance floor grooving all night long.

The bride and groom and I snuck out for some golden hour portraits. After 10 hours, I headed home with a full and grateful heart!
