Meet your Colorado
wedding Photographer

Remember the late 90's? I got my first point and shoot film camera and brought it everywhere to document my life: sleepovers, soccer games, and the hilarious antics of my best pals. Oh the excitement of dropping a roll of film off at the local photo processing center and waiting in anticipation for what beauty or ridiculousness was captured. When you open your wedding gallery for the first time, I want you to have that same feeling of anticipation and excitement.

Working with all types of people comes naturally to me, as a former teacher and a person who has always had a lot of friends (as one of those friends likes to put it: "Abby rolls deep.") I can get a stoic person to warm up for a photo, a shy toddler to smile, or an energetic kiddo to stand still. With confidence and a calm steadiness, I put people at ease. Your day will go smoothly as I make myself available to step in and assist and ready to flex with the needs of the day. If you are looking for a lighthearted photographer and someone who will encourage natural moments of connection for your wedding photos, let's start the conversation!

Attention to detail is a key part of capturing beauty. I'll make sure your hair isn't covering your eyes and that there are no distractions in your photographs

LIGHT-HEARTEDNESS

SERVICE
Ultimately, I am here to serve you in whatever way I can, to make your day run smoothly and to give you timeless and beautiful photographs of your wedding.

What you will see in your experience with me as your photographer

For many years, I taught studio art and art history to junior high and high school students. As I take photographs, the elements of art are informing how I frame the photo: value, color, line, shape, texture, form, space. My foundation in art education helps me create photographs that are visually stunning, that draw the eye in to the focal point and tell a story. I'm inspired by beauty in its many forms.

I believe the role of a photographer on a wedding day is to observe and preserve memories in a visual form. It's hard to pick a favorite part of the day, but I think what I enjoy most is walking around during the reception to find and capture those genuine moments of joy and love among you and your guests.

Timeless works of art & beauty in all its forms

Throughout your wedding, I capture those classic portraits that your parents want to hang on their living room wall, as well as those in-between candid moments of you and your guests. For the portraits of the two of you, I will gently guide you with prompts so that we get a mix of posed portraits and authentic in-the-moment smiles and connection captured.

I edit photos with true-to-life color or timeless black and white so that your photographs will never feel dated. You won't catch me chasing trends, but editing consistently in my style.

Your photos will be joyful, natural, gently guided, warm, relaxed, timeless, documentary-inspired, and down-to-earth.

Where classic portraiture meets documentary storytelling; Photos with a joy and warmth you can feel.

MY HUSBAND AND 4 KIDS
Hands down the best gifts of my life

MY FAITH COMMUNITY
The greatest people who love and support me and my family

HOT COFFEE
My dad started his own coffee roastery, so I'm a bit of a coffee snob.

BAKING AND COOKING
Something I learned in marriage is how much I love to cook and bake for people, and I enjoy it most when there aren't too many toddlers afoot.

VISITING ART MUSEUMS
I can't get enough of viewing great works of art in person. have you seen the Winged Victory at the Louvre? Truly astonishing.

PAINTING MY NAILS
I do not consider myself fancy by any means, but you'll most often find me with my nails painted and earrings on.

READING GREAT BOOKS
Currently on my nightstand: Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and Life and Fate Vassily Grossman

Do we have anything in common? Would love to hear!
