Wedding Reception at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs

Dan and Eva have a lot of family members and close friends, so they decided to invite everyone and hold their reception at the Antlers Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs. The Antlers has several different ballrooms to pick from and the service is extraordinary. They run events and receptions like a well-oiled machine. The cocktail hour started out in the hallway outside the room with two bars and servers walking around with crowd-pleasing appetizers. The space was a bit crowded but bustling with happy guests. The joyful energy was evident.

While guests were mingling, we took a quick moment to snap a few flash photos of Dan and Eva near the hotel elevator.

Dinner and Speeches

Soon after the guests entered the ballroom, the bridal party and the bride and groom made their grand entrance. A plated steak dinner was served and guests had a great time chatting over the meal. Dan and Eva finished their meal and took a turn around the room to greet their guests.

After dinner the bride’s father and mother both gave such moving speeches about Eva– her virtues, her personality which has been the same since she was little. They had only positive things to say about Dan and their relationship. It was so sweet to see a family in full support of their daughter and new son-in-law. The maid of honor and best man both knocked it out of the park with their speeches as well. They told funny stories but all in an honoring spirit.

Dancing

Dan and Eva cut the cake– a gluten-free, dairy-free beauty from Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics. They kicked off the dance floor with their first dance, Eva danced with her dad who was smiling the whole time. Then DJ Casey really got party started and the dance floor remained full the entire rest of the evening! Talk about a great party. The father of the bride was surprised to be lifted up into the air and crowd surf for the first and probably only time in his life. At a wedding reception, I love to get in on the action– make my way to the dance floor and get close ups of the guests having the best time. So of course I have to share some of those dance floor photos here!

The bride and groom had a sparkler send off just outside the front doors of the hotel. The Antlers in Colorado Springs was the perfect place for Dan and Eva’s wedding reception. So classy, accommodated all their guests, and the service was seamless. Would you consider a reception at the Antlers? Drop a comment below!
