I could write a much longer list, but I’ve shortened it to 5 things I am grateful for. In particular, this list relates to my Colorado wedding photography business. I’ve come a long way since 2011, and it’s good to remember what helped get me here. How grateful I am for this growing business of mine! Here’s my gratitude list:

1. For the friend who let me use their DSLR camera on a study abroad trip in Salzburg in 2008. It inspired me to take digital and film photography classes in undergrad.

2. For those few friends who hired me to photograph their weddings between the years of 2011 and 2017 where the seeds of my love for photographing weddings were planted.

3. For the other couples who sought me out for wedding photography between 2019 and 2024 even though I hadn’t officially started a business.

4. For the couples I will work with this next year who trust me to capture the photos that will bring them back to the absolute joy of their wedding day.

5. For the income I bring in to help support my family of 6 and that allows me to keep staying at home with my little ones.
