Are you looking for photos of a wedding mass at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Colorado Springs? Look no further! Sarah and Rex got married in late November and it was important to them to have a full wedding mass before going offsite for the reception. They carefully chose each element of the ceremony. Close friends and family did the readings and brought up the gifts.
Before mass, guests began gathering in the church and Sarah hid out in a side room with her bridesmaids while Rex and his groomsmen were in the sanctuary.

Rex and Sarah’s first look was when Sarah processed down the aisle with her father. The look on Rex’s face was so tender and unforgettable!

The mass included readings by close friends and family, receiving the eucharist together, a moving homily, classic vows, and a marital blessing.

Towards the end of mass, they offered flowers to Mary and I captured one of my favorite images from the day.

When photographing a wedding indoors, there is the obvious limitation of light and space. I maneuver through the aisles to get the best angles and I work with the light that is present. I rarely if ever use a flash during indoor ceremonies, as I do not want to be a distraction.

There are so many beautiful elements of the Catholic wedding mass, and I aim to capture each one of them without distracting the couple or the guests from the experience. If you are getting married in a Catholic church and still looking for your photographer, please reach out today!
